Please remember when buying vintage purses there are normally minor imperfections unless these are very noticable or detract from the style or attractiveness of the item they are not normally mentioned.

(Mint Condition) MINT - As close to "new" as possible for its age. No problems.
(Excellent Condition) Normal wear expected for age. Any problems are not easily visible.
(Gently Used) Normal wear expected for age. Shows very minimal wear
(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.

These handmade crochet drawstring purses were a labor of love and very time consuming. Very popular in the 1940's these purses came in many sizes and colors, most adorned with colorful wooden beads. "Isaac Mizrahi presented his first collection in 1987 at a trunk show held by famed New York department store Bergdorf Goodman. The line immediately earned praise from fashion editors, prompting several top retailers to place orders from 1995 to 1997, Mizrahi also designed a diffusion line, This lower-priced line (in the $275 to $850 range) was meant to diversify the label from the very expensive Isaac Mizrahi collection, but it failed to gain traction and was shuttered in 1997. Since Jerry Terrence has started selling his Magic Carpet handbags in 2006 for over $300.00 at the finer stores these 60's vintage handbags are now highly sought after. The 1964 film version of Harold Robbins “The Carpetbaggers” inspired Jerry Terrence to use the rugs sold at his family business in the 60’s and was short lived and were discontinued three years later.
